     Charlie (C.E.) Edward McAdoo, a native of Lebanon, Tennessee, graduated from Philander Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts, received his Master of Divinity from St. Paul School of theology, certification of Christian Education from United Seminary, and awarded Doctor of Humane Letters from Philander.  He was ordained elder in 1987 and has served in Arkansas and Missouri as pastor, college chaplain, and campus minister in Kansas City, Marshall and Slater, Missouri and in Arkansas at Center Point, Little Rock, Pine Bluff and Monticello.  He served as Superintendent in the Pine Bluff District and the Southeast District prior to his appointment to Village United Methodist Church in July 2006.  He has served on the Board of Methodist Family Health, Arkansas United Methodist Foundation, St. Paul Graduate Council, Church and Community Worker National Advisory Board, Equitable Compensation and numerous Conference Boards.  C.E.'s wife, Gloria, is a native of Carlisle, Arkansas.  She received her Bachelor of Arts from Philander Smith.  C.E. and Gloria have three children, Leron, Charlie II and Madra and three grandchildren.
