  • The Alpha Course - Anyone can come.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith is welcome.
     
    Learning and laughter.      Join others in a relaxed atmosphere. 

    Pasta -- or any other great food!      Each weekly session begins with dinner at 6:00 p.m. 

    Helping one another.      Dinner is followed by large group presentation and small group discussion. 

    Ask anything!      Here's your chance to ask your questions and express your opinions!

  • Sunday, June 6 through August 29th, Village United Methodist Church will worship at 10:00 a.m.

  • Meals on Wheels is coming in September.  There will be a sign up sheet in Steel Hall.

    • Join the Hot Springs Village Walk for Cancer Research -- September 25th, 7:30 a.m. at the Cortez Pavilion.  Registration forms and information are at www.hsvwalkforcancerreasearch.org and at many community locations, or call Linda Logan (915-0195).  Become a sponsor or join as a group or an individual.  All the money raised will go to UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.  Bring your family and friends and join the fight against cancer!

  • Faith, Food and Fellowship --  Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.  -- Bible Study, so bring your Bible.   Please call the church (922-1030) if you plan to attend, so that we can get a count for food preparation.

  • Volunteers play a vital role in the well-being of our church.  In this spirit of stewardship, we are in need of:
         1.  A volunteer to supply the sanctuary with offering envelopes, tidy up the song books, etc. which takes about an hour once a week every other month.
         2.  Help in preparation of CHIMES newsletter for monthly bulk mailing.  This will take half of one day in the last week of the month.

    Please call the church office at 922-1030 if you are willing to help.

  • The United Methodist Youth (grades 7-12) meet on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m.  The church meeting schedule is:
            July  --  Village United Methodist Church
            August --  Christ of the Hills
            September  --  Mountainside 

    & for Bible Study on Wednesday evenings at VUMC from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • The July/August issue of the Upper Room is now available in the Narthex.

  • The Believers Sunday School Class would like to invite you "early birds" to their 8:15 a.m. class in Room 24, across from the elevator.

  • Curb-Side Angels -- Sponsored by the Methodist Men, continues to need volunteers.  Call Phil Shroyer at 915-0367.

  • Monthly Finance Report is available in the Library for your review.  Copies are available in the office.

  • CD copies of the complete Worship Service are made on Fridays for the weekly request list in the church office at a cost of $2.00.


Rose 

Tim Venable died on Sunday, July 18th.  His memorial service will be held on January 28th at Village United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m.  Please keep Don, Sunny, Kylie and Jesika Venable in your prayers.  Memorials may be made to the family.
