The Mother's Club was created so stay-at-home
moms could meet other mothers and could have a special "time out"
one day each week.
Scrapbooking, photography, exercise, organ concerts, and crafts were
some of the activities the moms were involved in last year while
their pre-school age children were being supervised in "age
appropriate" activities by church volunteers. The activities
are planned by the group. The gatherings are very informal and
a fun, change-of-pace opportunity for mothers. A discussion of
Dr. Gary Chapman's book, Five Love Languages of Families,
is planned as one activity for this year.
This service is provided by VUMC in its support of young mothers
both in the Village and in the surrounding area. There is no
charge for the program.
